What was the first law restricting hunting? help please. smart people read? im doing an essay on controlled hunting. (pro) i need to know what hunting is basically. and what was the first law passed to restrict on hunting. what you need to obtain the right to hunt ect. please help out.

For centuries, in England, killing a deer was punishable by death. These days the laws have eased up a bit.

I was leery of the one post wonder syndrome that I have seen way too many times and gave him the first benefit of the doubt.

Seems I remember something about a place called Sherwood Forest and some dude running around in green tights shooting the Kings deer because Peasants weren't suppose to kill them....might be worth checking into if your Mom and Dad let you stay up late....
