Wow it's no wonder guys like that give the trapping industry a bad name. I myself trap as does a few others on here and we would never no something like that. Besides that is not a AIHTS approved trap. I have put my hand into a trap up to a #2 leghold to demonstrate at speaking engagements to prove they will not brake bones but larger traps like #3-#4 can brake fingers as they are meant for beaver and wolves,'yotes with bigger leg bones.More controversy

Leave it to a radio show to do something asinine like that.

From the comments that were posted there that guy was screening calls for the show before they put him on air for a dare program. He must really enjoy his 15 mins of fame.

So having your experience, can a trap open that easily after its been set off?? Thats what looked fake to me. I have no experience as a trapper but I remember seeing a buddy of mine opening a large trap like that, and it was not to easy.

they quickly crowded around and released him because someone knew exactly where to push. BUT did you see how deep the teeth went in his skin. The guy was asking for trouble, funny thing is He might just try again. :D

I use large connibear traps for raccoon , and a double spring leg trap ( # 7 ) for coyotes and groundhogs . The connibear I used a sissor like device to set the springs . Both of these traps could easily break a hand or finger ( and they are smaller than that trap). I can not for the life of me understand why anyone would want to put their hand in bear trap -------for ratings :?: likes pain :!:

Man, I've gotten smacked by a 110 conibear. I'd hate to think what a 330 would do.
