That's terrible and not the news one wishes to hear.

Bikes can provide a lot of pleasurable and exciting times. Unfortunately, they are also the cause of a lot of injuries. When it comes to bike riding, it's not if one will have an accident, but rather when.

Let's hope that Dan recovers fully.

Dan went off-roading. He broke 7 broken ribs, punctured lung and a broken shoulder blade. He got back on drove to a repair shop on his bike and got a ride to get his truck and drove to the hospital and turned himself into the hospital.
I'm on the phone with Gin and we both agree, he's an idiot!
The first thing he said to Gin when she came into ICU is "did you want a cheese burger?" So as Gin was leaving the hospital she sent Chris (Dan's son) back in with a.......cheese burger.
So far so good.

Just got off the phone with Dan(at the hospital) and Gin(at home). Everything's pretty much ok. Dan has been up and walking a bit and Gin and I can make fun of Dan. Dan is a hurtin' unit and he's worried about his bike
The good part is that Dan was wearing his helmet otherwise I would have talked to a Zucchini and Gin would have been a widow. Apparently even with his helmet on he experienced a bit of exterior head trauma (like a egg).

Wow, I just found this and I hope he has a speedy recovery. I've already lost two fellow riders this year so I'm glad the outcome was better this time.
