I'll be using my Ameristep Doghouse, they are inexpensive, do the job and should be big enough. It will be the first time hunting with a x-bow out of it, but I know a couple people here use them so I am sure it will work fine.

Ameristep Doghouse is big enough - and because they're not too expensive I'm OK with leaving mine in the woods.
Of course I'd LOVE to hang out in a nice hub blind, but I'd haul it back out after every hunt.

Re: shopping for a ground blind
I have a doghouse and it is good for a crossbow as long as you are alone in it. I sit in the corner and use 2 windows. Like Vix I dont mind leaving it in the woods. I have left it set up for 3 seasons (3-4 months at a time) and it has no tears. It blew away a couple times until I got 1 ft plastic tent pegs and hammered them in the clay. It stays put now. I have a Gorilla Hub and it is useless for my crossbow but good for a gun.
To be a vegetarian is to listen to the live carrot gradually screaming as it drowns in a pot of boiling water …. Which is more ethical to you ??

I hunted out of a Killzone hub style blind last season and enjoyed it very much, I like the Killzone because it has a zip open roof section that allows you to stand and stretch without having to exit the blind. I'm 6'1" tall and it was very roomy.

Yup, that was my thinking also, I paid $49 US for mine, I could not afford to have an expensive blind disappear on me.VixChix wrote: I'm OK with leaving mine in the woods.

If you are going to leave your Dog House blind up make sure there are no bears around.
