dad's doing well

Post by xbowrook »

went with mom and dad to London last night.. dad was diagnosed with kidney cancer a couple months ago so he had an appointment to have the tumor removed.. he also had another surgeon repair a hernia surgery from a number of years ago.. all went well and he is in his room sleeping it off.. just over a 6 hour surgery and he spent over 6 hours in recovery.. needless to say, it's been a hell of a long day.. he hopes to be up and at it in time for deer opener, but we'll see...

I'm really glad to hear he's doing well. Let's hope he heals well and they are able to get everything under control.

What ticks me off is the couple months that it takes from diagnosis to some sort of action. Cancer typically isn't a disease that wise to let it go for a few months. Sad state our health care is in, and not just when it comes to cancer....

I hope your dad is feeling better soon and has a full recovery. :)

so sorry to hear Mark... thanks to all who wished him well.. he is pretty sore ( i speak to mom 2x a day to check in on him)... got tomorrow off work so i can get down there and bring him home from the hospital... he had 2 surgeries, so he will need some time to heal up, he is diabetic on top of it all, so that adds to the recovery time... will keep you all posted on his recovery.. he swears he's gonna be up and ready for deer season, let's hope..
