boresighting a arrow for straitness

Post by Masboy »

if the inserts are square with the shaft and centered in the shaft you can look thru both ends of the arrow and tell if it,s got a slight bow in the arrow .it,s like bore sighting a rifle. you will see a perfect round hole in both ends if no bow in the arrow and see a lot of black rings that looks like a bullseye target and if not strait you will see some of the black rings are not perfectly round they will be a little egg shaped .I spin my arrows with a point on both ends too check both ends for wobble but bore sight them too. works on carbon and aluminum.
