The wife is wanting to go hog hunting in Sept.
Looking at public land in Southern Ohio.
Any suggests on which land to hunt.

Don't know of any public land that has hogs in my area in southwest Ohio. May be some in the southeast part.
I've heard that the nature conservancy land had a few, but they are trying to trap them before they will open it for hunting.

I used to see a occasional hog in Vinton county on mead land but its all lease now.
I've hunted a farm in Vinton for 18 years and never seen a hog there. As far as successful public land to hunt them maybe Tar hollow state land. But to even see one or sign from them I think is rare. I would love to hunt one too, I even checked out the hunting place on route 50 in Vinton county but at $400.00 a hog changed my mind.
