How many arrows to have enough or too many?

I picked up my new Exomax on Friday. I then went home and started making up some 2213 crossbow arrows from some of my old vertical-bow arrows. I have literally hundreds of 2213s, an arrow saw, plenty of vanes and a fletching jig, etc. so far, I've made up about two dozen arrows for my crossbow. I'm asking you guys who have been shooting crossbows for a while, how many is plenty and how many does it take to just have too many? What do you think?

A couple of dozen arrows should keep you going for awhile. I guess it all depends on how much you plan on shooting and where you shoot ....

Take all of those that hit the same into yer hunting pile. Take the rest n practice with them til a week before season. Then make up the 3rd dz. jus in case sumpin happens!

I bought 6 arrows in 2008. I sent one into a concrete wall. Killed 6 plus deer since then. Still have 5 left.

Also if you get tired of some old ones, Im sure there are many folks myself included that wouldn't mind to compensate your boredom.

You can only shoot one at a time and with an Excalibur you will hit wear you aim. So as long as you don't shoot at the same target twice before removing your arrows you should have enough.

I shoot a fair bit of 3D so I loose or break the odd one but I don't think I've ever owned more than 10 arrows at any given point in time. When I get below 4 or so I order another half dozen.

You can't have too many spares When I see quality shafts and parts for a really good price on ebay I order at least 3 dozen a go. Although you think they will last you forever, you always end up using them in the end.

I don't think you can have too many but I usually keep 18 to 24 on hand. I keep 6 just for hunting and the rest for practicing and target shooting.

Let's see, a dozen practice arrows for each of th3ree crossbows, plus 6 each dedicated for hunting only arrows and another 6 transitioning back to practice arrows. About 5 dozen I'm thinking.
Doesn't help that I enjoy making them.

Never really take a count of how many, I just know the pail is pretty full.

Only have 18 carbons as I have added them recently to try them out. As for aluminum, I just cut down my vertical bow shafts as I need more projectiles.

I am curious where did you find a new E'mag ? They quit makin them in 04. You have the 200 or 185 pounder ?
