Axiom Rail:

Post by Nighthunter »

Just getting ready to place my order for an Axiom and read somewhere that the Axiom has a plastic rail instead of aluminum. The primary factor that drew me to the conclusion of buying the Axiom was the short draw length because I'm 56 years old and 5' 8" on a good day.. My question is: "If it were you, would you buy the Axiom or something else, because of the rail?" Thank you for your advice.....

the axiom is a very good bow, do not let the rail change your mind, it's very strong.

I forget the name of the stuff, but it's not plastic.

Resin and glass I believe. The Axiom will be around longer than you and I together and it is the lightest of the bunch. You will buy with confidence.

Same stuff as GUNS are being made of now. Definitely not 'plastic.'

Go for it, the synthetic rail makes it lighter than the alum. rail too.

I also have the Axiom SMF crossbow. Have been shooting it just a little less than a year. So far I'm really happy. The bow is very accurate with Excalibur accessories that came with the bow. So far ZERO problems and I really don't expect any.

Good to know!!! Even before my crossbow is ordered I ordered the S5 suppression system, 150 gr Boltcutter broadheads, and a stringing aid. Would've already ordered the crossbow but my wife wants to do it for my birthday so i don't know if it's ordered yet or not but I'll be ready!!!

Nothing wrong with the Axiom or synthetic rail but if draw length is the main issue the Phoenix is the exact same spec bow with an aluminum rail.

I can tell you from experience, get the Axiom. This is my 4th crossbow, and it's the best one I've owned.

ive owned all the current models. the Axiom with the SMF is my favorite. it floats in your hands  anodize aluminum is subject to dings and scratches. the synthetic rail you can polish out.
