Why I shop?

Post by Don »

After the Dead Beat store post it kinda got me thinking about what everyone really looks for in an Outdoors store.

What is your primary reason for shopping at the store that you frequent most?

:(

Don,

I am guilty of voting for price but service is also #1 for me. The reason I put price first is because generally speaking, I do my research on the web so that I know exactly what I will be purchasing. Then, like everything else, it all boils down to price.

I somehow enjoy correcting sales clerks at their lack of knowledge of the store products. but then again you can only expect so much from a store that pays minimum wages and has a high turnover in staff!

Just thought I would explain my vote!

Thanks

Service ! Not that price is not important,, But getting treated with a bit of dignity by sales staff with some knowledge of their product is nice :)

I listed service first, price would be second. I don't mind paying a couple of bucks more and know that if I'm not satisfied I will be able to return it for another or get a refund without a hasssle.

I originally shop for price but once I find a place that has great service that then becomes my primary reason for returning.

Price gets me in the door. If you have an attractive price and good service, I will keep buying. I know generally what I want...so service is a close second.

I live in an area where there is very little choice except Wal-Mart unless I drive a hundred miles. Which is why I do most of my shopping on the internet. But When I do drive to the city, I want selection and price. I live 125 Miles from Springfield,Mo. so often go to-----Dare I Say It (gasp) Bass Pro Shops Headquarters. I'm used to poor service. Where I live.

Don

While all of your choices have a factor in my decision I chose "service" because it would be the factor that could override any of the others :)

Actually I do most of my shopping by catalog now :D
