Brace hight arrow POI change

Post by Gamikatsu »

I had to add 1.5 full twists to get my boostring off the S5 bumpers last night, and it tossed my POI consistantly 2" right at 30 yds... one scope click left back dead on... what the heck? i understand up/down...

yes i was using rope cocker,
yes my tiller is square
first time this ever happened

I,ve never had it change my left and right but made a larger difference than ever when I had a fastflight string with a lot of twist in it.without a lot of twist in a string it dosn,t seem to make but a small change out to 50yds.for me.

I think its unlikely the string done that.
I'd say it was a coincidence that a problem first showed its face when you tightened the string.
Take a good look at the scope, and double checking mounting screws etc.
Has the crossbowbow fallen over on the scope or did the scope get a good knock at any point?

I've had it happen too. Esp is brace height was quite low when twisted up.
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.
Incurable tinkerer.
Why hunt? Simple, it's BASIC. Why breath?!
