I,m not much for gadgets but my sons all got them and said no more skeeters pestering them in there stands so I had them get me one and now would not be hunting much in this warm weather without it. havn,t been bit since I got it and mite see a lot more deer now that I,m not sitting there all evening swatting skeeters . now I can use a half mask instead of the full face mask and a lot more comfy .I carry mine in my old 45 holster more than my 45.

Ive thought about getting one but the skeets havent been to bad this year, how long does it last for before you have to refil?

mine came with three pads that last for four hours each and the butane cartridge last 12 hours .

I have a Thermacell and have used it some in the past but not much as we are pretty dry and skeeters are not too bad usually. But..... I am going to have it this year as the cases of "West Nile Virus" just keep piling up.Doesnt sound like something I want to mess with!

I have 4 of them and use them all the time in N.C. we definitely need them. I killed a 12 pt a few years back when I had mine on and it didn't seem to matter.

If I'm swatting at mosquitos I know I won't see any deer.

The refill packs now are Earth Scented and they seem to work well also.

learned one thing tonight don,t turn it off till your ready to go!!!!!!turned mine off about 10 minutes before leaving my stand to let it cool down before putting it away and the skeeters jumped on me . never again !!!!!!!

anything above 50 degrees farenhight mine is with me.its always in my hunting gear.

ThermaCell, one of the best pieces of hunting equipment on the market. Would not hunt without one. Mosquitoes around here are big enough to carry you away to their lair around here.

Now Thermocell has a remote controlled foot warmer. Don't know anything about them but it would be great if they worked as good as their mosquito repellents !

Had the Thermacell going this morning when I put a nice doe down. The wind was blowing right toward her I don't know why she didn't smell me before she hit the ground.
