Touched my string with broadhead

Post by Cat power »

I was sighting in my ibex yesterday with a broadhead that I have dedicated to just sighting in, so it is fairly dull. As I was putting everything away I accidentally touched (bumped) the broadhead to the string. I don't see any cuts, but i am nervous to not change it out. Has this happened to any of you, and should I just change it out for piece of mind?

No cuts, no fraying, no problem.

Yeah, if you don't see any damage, it's OK. Keep shooting it, but if you notice it start to fray in that area, change that booger out.

Not sure how I did it but my sting is frayed also and I did the same as Maine hunter and so far so good it still shoots fine. I only have one weekend left to bow hunt so I will see if it lasts.

I always worry about that while hunting as much as I hunt, I've been lucky so far I think you sound be fine as well because if you don't see any damage its not hurt.
