Time to get serious!

Post by GooGoos »

Well as you guys know, last year I was hitting the woods hard with my bow because I was about to ship to bootcamp. Well, dad had me busy huntin ducks during bow season this year. Well this weekend is the opening weekend for the black powders. So dad is serious about hunting deer now. We will be hunting all day Saturday and Sunday. Question I have for yall is do I take the axiom or the black powder?
*PRETTY IN PINK, DEADLY IN CAMO!

*In the fall I get to kill em in the rut, but in the spring I get to watch em strut.
*You can take the girl outta woods, but you can't take the addiction outta the girl!
*Can't kill anything sitting on the couch.

I would say it depends a lot on where you hunt. I use the muzzleloader during the MZ & gun seasons even though the crossbow is legal.

Reason - I don't want to blood trail the deer to where another hunter has claimed it, I want to drop it in it's tracks!

I actually have more confidence in my Excal that I do in my black powder rifle. Not a pain in the arse to clean either.

If it were my choice, I'd opt for the crossbow. It's more of a challenge, it's more fun, and you don't have to clean it with solvent after the shot... PS: GOD bless you for serving our Country...
