Well, IF I end up eating my tag.. It will be MY FAULT.. Yesterday afternoon, I had a doe walk past me at MAYBE 15 yards. She stopped and offered me at LEAST 4-5 shot opportunities.I estimated she would field dress somewhere around 60-70 lbs. Sure wuld have been some tasty, tender venison BUT... I have ALWAYS had a personal criteria of field dressing 100 lbs.
There is going to be ALOT of hunting and hopefully, shot opportunities, ahead so I will KEEP GOING and take whatever is in store. As long as it continues to be FUN... I am STILL HAPPY!!

Sounds like to made a good choice especially if you have a lot more time to hunt. I sit many hours in the woods and come back empty handid but I had a great experience just being able to be there. God is great!

Just last night I had 14 does feeding right in front of me - ranging from 22 yards out to 55. There's a Real Biggie in that neck of the woods, and with two full months of season yet to go, the Ladies are quite safe - for the time being...
