What size vanes?

Post by jd4223 »

I'm tempted to try the new QuikFletch Vanes by NAP.I'm shooting the Firebolts Carbon with 4"vanes.Should I go with 3" or 2" vanes with the QuikFletch?

I switched to the QuickFletch 2in. Blazers, and I find they group much better than the original vanes on my Firebolts.

2in Blazers on my Firebolts. Good arrow flight & stacks the arrows out to 50yds.

I did a lot of internet research on vanes and found that the majority prefer 2" Blazers and the Arizona EZ Fletcher made for crossbow arrows. This is what I purchased but have not had time to experiment yet, but there is simply too much overwhelming testimony to the fact that the 2" Blazers work; to ignore it. You can research for yourself, but I don't believe you will be disappointed...

If you use the quick fletch don't fletch them too far at the end of the arrow because I had some that would'nt touch the string when loaded in the crossbow. The bottom vane must have been hitting something in the trigger mechanism. This caused a partial dry fire with that arrow. I went back to fletching my own with the Arizona E-Z Fletch. The other ones I did with the quick fletch with 2 in. Blazers flew great. Good Luck

When I put on the QuickFletch vanes I just measured my old vanes to the rear of the arrow and put the Quick Fletch exactly in the same spot.
