Wanted to share this...

Post by GooGoos »

Took this picture of my crossbow this mornin before I got out of the stand and wanted to share it with yall

Image

Yesterday mornin dad took the day off work so we could try out his new camera and I took my bow. Dad sat right above me in the tree to record. It was dead all morning and at 10am dad asked me if I wanted to stick it out to 1030 which turned into 11am later on. Right at 11am we heard something in front of us; a few moments later a see a doe running out in front of us then not too far behind her was a buck chasing her. I was like look him dad! Then dad goes theres a bigger one right behind him. He was a freakin MONSTER. Bigger than the biggest deer we have on our wall at the house. He came out past his ears and had dark brown antlers that we could see 150yds out without the binos. Those deer run off. A few minutes later I see brown move where those deer went into the thicket(figuring it was the same deer) Nope it wasn't it was a spike. We watched him for about 15min or so. He feeds off and dad said hey, lets go head and get down. Well as I am about to tie my bow to lower it down I see a deers tail. I right away tell my dad not to move. He couldn't see the deer but I could see her clear as day in the shadows. Few minutes later he tells me he sees the deer which was a completley different deer than what I was looking at. Well they take off running and we have a doe run right in front of us. Dad pulls out the camera and I will let the video tell the rest of the story...

Sometimes we win, sometimes the deer wins.
I'd get back out there - looks like a good location!

Did you find the arrow? If you go frame by frame, then there is one frame that looks like the arrow hit a little high . . .hard to tell . . .just wondering.

Very cool video!

Good video sorry you missed but at least its not a wounded animal. You'll get another chance since you are seeing all these deer.
