Doe #4 down with Vortex

I went hunting this afternoon and sit over my food plot that was planted with Brassicas and Clover. The deer have been wearing it out lately, I had 3 does come into the food plot around 6:20 and start feeding for about 10 minutes. I let 2 of the deer pass because I was waiting on the big doe in the back to make it into range. She gave me a slightly quartering away shot as she was feeding at 24 yards. The Slick Trick Mag hit home and exited the far side at the crease of the shoulder. She never knew what happened she just bounced off and didn't even run fast and made it about 60 yards and she was down. Its time to buck hunt the rest of the season I have 2 buck tags left to try and possibly fill one Lord willing. The Lord has been good to me this year with the oportunities to go out and hunt and be able to feed my family with what he created. We are truly Blessed.

Thanks enormous. This was our last day of muzzleloader season but we can still use archery equipment so I decided to take the Vortex instead.

congrats! all I been seeing is mostly small deer and all the big doe I have seen have little ones with them and I will not shoot one that has small ones with her.I have seen four small bucks so far but that should all change here soon. good luck with the bucks!!!

Thanks everyone ,Bear season opens today and of course it is raining and I am sitting in the office we have been getting some great pics of the bears this year. There's 4 of us that hunt 600 acres bow and xbow hunting only and we all have bear pics on outr trail cameras. Maybe Saturday will be the day one of us gets a shot.
