Masboy = Kindness & Generousity

Post by JT of PA »

Just got back from visiting Masboy at his place.

It was a nice surprise when he contacted me after seeing the location on my signature. He thought we might be close enough that I could come down and try his various arrow creations using his backyard range.

Today I made the trip and had a great time learning how he makes arrows and with what components. Bottom line - Masboy makes a great arrow. All his various creations worked well with my Ibex and he kindly let me do most of the shooting at his well appointed backyard range.

Masboy also offered to teach me how to build my own arrows, show me how to wrap a serving, and offered for me to stay for lunch. Then as I was getting ready to leave he placed 9 of his arrow creations in my bag and wouldn't take no for an answer.

Nowadays that sort of thing is not common.

Someone extending that much kindness and generosity was greatly appreciated and made me feel like this Excalibur Forum and the members are something special. Bottom line - he went out of his way to do something for someone else.

I look forward to heading back someday to Masboy's "Slice of Heaven" (beautiful country) to learn more. Hopefully someday I can repay his kindness by helping someone else new to the crossbow community.

Masboy - you're a class act in my book. Thank You.

Similar kindness and generosity of time have been extended to me by Boo here on the forum and Dawn at Excalibur.

There is definitely something special about being part of the Excalibur family.

-John

John has a way with words makes me feel like a saint! (but I,m not) just passing on what another member on here told me to do for his kindness and giving to me.not going to mention his name(Don) I think he could change the world if given enough time!! really it was my pleasure to meet a great guy like John and if ever you get to meet John you will feel the same. I was expecting to see some poor shooting from a newbee but to my surprise this guys steady as a rock offhand shooting in the wind was a pleasure for me to watch! I felt like the newbee !!!! John or any other member are welcome to stop in and shoot with me anytime they get down this way! ( long as you don,t shoot as good as John and make me feel bad about my offhand shooting !!!!!)
