I just got this text from Tim who is up near Huntsville this week:
"Bull down."
Although he's been moose hunting before with hunt camps, this is his first moose of his own. I believe he used his Savage 99 in .300.
I'm sure he'll post photos on Sunday or Monday after he gets back.
I'm so happy for him that I can barely type... but I just had to share the good news here!

He said they have it skinned and quartered now and were going to haul it out. They're party hunting so it's going to get split a few ways. Not that easy to get a tag up in our area so sharing is good.
We've been seeing this bull's tracks and I'm pretty sure it's the same one that DoeMaster/Kevin watched during deer season a couple of years ago.
Always nice to see a moose in moose season instead of deer season!
