Very nice big brute it sure looks like thats the one you have sheds of already. He has a giant body you gotta be proud even in the nastiest conditions.

Congrats

Thanks everyone , I just love hunting big mature bucks , once I find one I become addicted to them. I drive my wife nuts. I needed a north wind to hunt that spot , and Saturday was a north wind. But I thought for sure those coyotes were keeping the deer away. So I was killing two birds with one stone , if the yotes showed then they would have got it also. Lucky for me the big buck I was after showed up first. But I have never killed a big mature buck on a wrong wind. So rain or shine I was going no matter what on a north wind. I worked to hard for him finding out his habits and routine and bedding area to let those yotes spoil it on me. Oh well there could be worse things that I could be addicted to I guess. Lol

I forgot to mention I just got done skinning and butchering the buck and he had to buckshot pellets just under his skin but no scarring or any irritation from them at all. One was in the hind by his tail and one was about 2 inches from the entrance hole of the boltcutter. I will post pic , just to tell ya how tuff this animals are. Im sure he has been shot at a few times over his life. Another reason why buckshot should not be used for deer. I hate the stuff.

I was half expecting to find something like that on my recent buck. A buck doesn't get that big in southern Ontario without dodging some projectiles along the way.

You can say that again , it is hard life out there to be a deer. Here are the pictures of the buckshot I found while skinning , one was in the hind and the other in the chest very near where broadhead went in.
