Just a guess... But probably not. If it's off, it wont be off by much... depends on the brace height.

-woods.

Though I highly recommend sighting in EVERY time you change something.

But isn't there a certain amount of stretch in new strings that will eventually change the brace?
Or am I over-thinking this?

Everytime it creeps enuff put a twist in it. Better to be above the low Brace height than below it!

Yes you need to resite your bow. I just changed my dacron string with a new one and it was shooting high a little. Better to be safe than sorry.

Also, I am shooting a smidge below the bottom hash and I'm getting the best accuracy I have ever gotten out of my bow. Truely amazing how it is shooting right now. I'm not messing with it.

I am new to CBs this year & I purchased an Equinox for myself and a Vortex & Axiom SMF for my 2 sons. We have found that if we keep the BH at 1 & 1/16" the 3 CBs have the best accuracy. This is what works for us.

I've shot FFF's for the last few years. They are more easily adj'd to your preferred b-height. If you swap out an old w/ a new and set the b-height the same, it will shoot to the same poi. My b-height was called 1 1/8" which is w/ the serving just touching the high mark on the inside of the two lines.........

That being said, you need to check and re-set the b-height if needed to repeat the process.

All the fiddling I've had to do w/ b-height went out the window when I got my Boo, thanks Don!!

You are all best advised to put a paint mark on the side of the rail where your string sits. It is more accurate than eye balling and much more conveinent than using a ruler.

On the heavier draw weight bows I would suggest to install the S5.
It will protect the bow from the effects of shock and vibration.
It also sets the brace height for you with no guessing.
With the S5 in place just a glance will show you if the string has changed position.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just to be clear you will still have to twist the string so that it is just off the bumpers.
