8pt with Ibex

Post by Carnivorous »

Hunting with my good friend Dave today.

Got this 8 point @ 11:00am this morning.

It was one of those blue bird days that you are just glad to be outside.Hunting on the ground 10 yard shot. The grunt tube brought him in real close from 150 yards away & he was nice enough to stop broadside to me. Sun was really bright today & was behind me. This buck had no idea that I was 10 yards away sitting in the tall grass due to the bright sun.

A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.
