What is this?

Post by Pydpiper »

When my skull got cleaned the groove was there, but not with the red trace. As it dries, the red is becoming more pronounced.
To me it looks like when a bug gets between the bark, and a tree.. Bizarre, but normal?

Here's a little info about it from another forum entry I found online. I always thought it was where the plates fused together after it matured, much like a human skull that has multiple plates as a child to allow for the growth of the brain. It appears it's to allow movement of the skull for protection of the brain.

It is where the scull caps join so it won't separate. Allows for movement without breaking. I think it makes the skull flexible during fighting. Just another of our makers clever schemes in life.

I think it looks pretty cool witht the reddish colour in the lines. Very cool indeed. :)
