Heck, Yeah! I just registered for my warranty online with Excalibur and checked out everything in the box. AMAZING quality of construction and equally impressive materials science. This thing is gonna be sweet. I am a bit surprised just how excited I am about all of this.

I'll add some accessories later and get this dialed in the way I want it, but for now I just want to get it up and shooting accurately and then head to the woods. I'm really blessed to live in Miss'ippi with friends who own lots of land with hogs, deer, ducks, and a bevy of other shootable creatures. If I ever run into a bigfoot, it'll be the Excalibur that puts the legend to rest! HAH! BBJ

Your enthusiasm reminds me a lot of how I felt when I unboxed and assembled my Ibex :) It is a great bow that will serve you well. Respect your bow and you will be rewarded for years to come!

Weellll....with all of the Christmas shopping and hoopla I haven't had a minute to assemble my bow and go shoot it. Even more frustrating AND dissappointing...I haven't had a chance to order any accessories! I did manage to get the box out of my office and to the house. Now I need to get to the 4 day weekend to get it assembled and chrony tested.

I plan to use the stock string and arrows for the initial chrony testing. I will weigh and number each arrow then run a series of tests through the chrony to get arrow speeds and calculated kinetic energy (FPE).

My IBEX SMF is supposed to shoot 305 FPS with 350 grain total arrow weight and the Flemish DynaFlite string. I expect that it will be about dead on the money. I'll post results as soon as I get them. BBJ

if you back out the 90 minutes or so that I had to wrestle with my ill fitting quiver bracket, it took about 20 minutes to assemble, including watching sections of the DVD as I went.

The next one will take me about 5 minutes. OK...no plans for a "next one" just yet.

the shooting and sighting and testing and playing....now that burns some time...but quality time......
