crosseur wrote:why this new crossbow will use only 18 inch for a arrow in my mind this is not good because the accurency will be failled because of a short arrow look the pse tac-15 the most accurate crossbow in the world and it use a 23 inch around for this crossbow
more the arrow is short less the distance will be to make a center point !
380 fps whit a 350 grain and 18 inch arrow???
pse tac 15 is 405fps whit 425grain and 23 inch
if i put a 20 inch arrow in a matrix do i will drop to 350fps like the equinox?????
Maybe, just maybe, you'ld be happier w/ a Tac whatever and an AR lower?

And here I thought the 225 lb Equinox was overkill. Each to their own I guess.

Glad to hear most like our new models. We have been working on this new concept for quite a while and have been very excited with the performance. Here are a few answers to some of the questions posted:

At the moment these crossbow models will be sold in kit form only.
The 18" arrows is recommended due to the short mainframes but you can use 20" if desired.
Our existing limbs are already bullet-proof however, through multiple dry-fire testing the new limbs did even better if you can believe it!
The anti-dry-fire unit is called the guardian and is available as an accessory, it will fit every crossbow model we have ever made!
These new bows are small, when you place one beside any of our classic models the difference is huge.

Many dealers have these new crossbows already although they are barely getting out of the boxes before they're sold. You really need to get one of these bad-boys in your hands to appreciate them. I hope I helped with some of the questions.

Limbs last 60% longer? What is the lifespan of my Vortex limbs? :(
I have the same questions above, plus...

The Matrix is more accurate too, how is this possible?

Whats the lifespan of my 2012 Equinox limbs?

Additionally, I don't like the move too shorter 18" arrows, so I feel 20" is the minimum for hunting.

i havent found much either laura but it is listed with some info in the accessories page.
im thinking its just like the aftermarket one we are familier with but with an added release so we can decock with our rope cocker in a dry fire situation instead on having to load and arrow and shoot it into the ground..
im suprised they went with a dryfire device but i also see it as a very good/great move..

just a guess here but i think if you dryfire ..you can use the rope cocker as always and instead of pulling the trigger you would push the release and let the string down

This is an educated guess, but I believe the reduced effort is due to the shorter stroke, the majority of difficultly cocking with the rope is at the top. My wife as the strength to cock my Phoenix, but lacks the reach to engage the string to the trigger me mechanism. This is more noticeable with the higher power Xbows excluding the Matrix models.

I am having trouble finding the new Matrix at this point in the USA. Does anyone know where I can get one? I really don't think that they are over priced. Considering that you get a bullet proof powerhouse with very low maintenance, I think that they are priced right.
