Pretty sure you would simply recock the crossbow then disengage the dry fire and decock as normal.strum wrote:just a guess here but i think if you dryfire ..you can use the rope cocker as always and instead of pulling the trigger you would push the release and let the string down

Re: Matrix
It wasn't nearly as loud as I would have expected and the dude didn't blow his back cocking it either

Re: Matrix
I believe you are correct. Congrats too Excalibur for making three winning Matrix crossbows which are thinner, shorter and more powerful than all previous models.taz3 wrote:This is an educated guess, but I believe the reduced effort is due to the shorter stroke, the majority of difficultly cocking with the rope is at the top. My wife as the strength to cock my Phoenix, but lacks the reach to engage the string to the trigger me mechanism. This is more noticeable with the higher power Xbows excluding the Matrix models.yooper_man wrote:I have the same questions above, plus...PA_DeerHunter wrote:How do you cock a 260 lb. bow with 5% less effort than it takes to cock a 225 lb. bow?
Limbs last 60% longer? What is the lifespan of my Vortex limbs?
The Matrix is more accurate too, how is this possible?
Whats the lifespan of my 2012 Equinox limbs?
Additionally, I don't like the move too shorter 18" arrows, so I feel 20" is the minimum for hunting.

I am happy with my Equinox and don't see a change in the future. I hunt out of open tree stand or on the open ground so its size is not a burden. Plus, I found my 20" arrow 8" into the ground after passing through an adult doe at 25 yards, so curious how deep is deep enough.

Re: Matrix
the great thing about this all,is even if person does not want a new bow,the accessories are great too. i love my new vortex, but that new scope, and decocker i would love to have on my bow. great job bill and kathy.

Re: Matrix
i doubt it, but will these new limbs work on older models?
the exomax sure would get a speed boost considering it's stroke is 3.4" longer than that of the matrix 380. can you say 300lb draw and 425fps?

I can also say snapped limb, and broken teeth.ch312 wrote:can you say 300lb draw and 425fps?
Re: Matrix
Interesting clip!
The bow didn't seem to make too much noise, and the string looked like it stopped quickly when it hit the R.E.D.S.
The narration reminded me of my wife, though.
(never stopped talking and I didn't understand a thing that was said)

X2^^ This is what separates Excal from others, by no means have they obsoleted their own product with improved product upgrades to fit the original series.maine hunter wrote: the great thing about this all,is even if person does not want a new bow,the accessories are great too. i love my new vortex, but that new scope, and decocker i would love to have on my bow. great job bill and kathy.

Absolutely! I might buy a Matrix but I'll never stop loving my shooters! Re: Matrix
Why not make a Matrix with the shorter dimensions in a 200 lb model (Matrix 200)?

Re: Matrix
1) Is the new scope mount shorter than the original one?
2) Is the "hook" in front of the trigger used for something?
*Would like to see a Matrix with 150/175 pound limbs. Be the Vixen II with thumb-hole stock I always wanted.

Re: Matrix
A 290 fps matrix would go down well here in England.
Our competitions keep us to a max speed of 300fps.
Would be superb bit of kit with that short draw.
I'll just dream.....

I'm very satisfied and totally content with my Vortex but I must say this is a very sexy bow indeed!
