A Hunter’s Prayer
May the Lord bless you as you enjoy the majesty of his creation.
May you be blessed to observe the wonder of the sky, beauty of the vegetation, and the glory of his handiwork.
May you be blessed with weather that is in your favor.
Let the wind carry your scent away from the game.
Bless the animals with food that is plentiful, plant life that is abundant
to nourish the game and in turn nourish your family.
Blessed be you with crisp, clean air that the Lord provides.
Let it be more refreshing than you’ve ever experienced.
May you be blessed with an appreciation of the responsibility of dominion
over all animals of the planet.
May you be a good steward of the land, air, water and game.
May you move with stealth that makes you invisible to your prey.
May your eyes be keen to spot the prey and be sure as you aim your
weapon and that your aim be true.
During your aim may the Lord steady your hand, slow your
breathing and calm your body.
May the game be plentiful and may all of your experiences
create thankfulness toward God the Father, creator of all you enjoy.
