Permission to Hunt

Post by agingcrossbower »

Got to tell a story.
I built a cabin for a person and his family way back in the swamp. Since then I had to sell my hunting land to pay the health bills and I mentioned to him how hard it was to find anywhere to bowhunt. He wanted to go out and eat and when we sat down he gave me a letter. Inside it gave me permission to hunt his land and use the parking area to start out from AND have full use of his cabin. Have no idea what I did to deserve that. Darn near choked up right at the table. What a gift that I never can repay. Even I was speechless. Had to share someones true kindness with you all. :D

great story and so glad to hear you got a spot to hunt.. this is a reminder to us all, be good to the owners/farmers, you will be surprised how you may be rewarded... also, remember alot of the landowners talk and watch out for each other.. give 'em no problems, help out a little ( planting crops, harvesting trees for winter time, etc) and you could end up with a few more properties... great job and hope to see you get some fresh meat from there soon...
