That void in the right limb is something that I would have excalibur replace if it were mine, I would shoot it in the meantime because i dont believe it would cause any failures, but I would have it replaced and i know excal wouldnt have a problem doing so. The other very slight moulding marks dont bother me in the least. They have always been there, they are normal.

I will keep shooting it until I contact Excal. I dont really have a big issue with it. It makes it a little lighter

Having been to the factory and seen like a few of us the limbs being made . Each limb is made by hand one at a time . As with anything made by hand there will by imperfections . The new limbs were tested on their own torture tester for more shots than most of us will ever do in our lifetime .
The upside is Excalibur has excellent warranty with next to no questions asked . :)

the scar in that pic looks deep.the limb looks like a splinter waiting to happen being that close to the edge and on the thin part of the limb. fit and finish are important to some. more so i guess when the price tag goes up. i had a local pro staff guy from a different company tell me it costs like 30$ to make a set of limbs. maybe they could be a little better at weeding out ones that have bad cosmetics especially on this new model. i bet demand is so high they roll the dice.i have xbows and guns that are safe queens so i understand.

Good grief, I'm looking at my Nikon camera right now and it has a small blem on the outside case. My new Maytag fridge has a small blem in the stainless finish. My new carpet has a small blem too. During the holidays a friend and I looked over 12 Bugatti Veyron that a acquaintance purchased new recently that cost more than 2 Million and I found a small paint blem on an edge that required a careful study to notice. I also noticed a stitch in the leather fabric that was sidways a bit. The list goes on.
Do these blems affect performance? No.

Every Excal limb is inspected and tested to match set limbs in poundage. I could not give a poop about teeny tiny little 1/4" void that does not affect performance, I never stare at my limbs close that one foot to care anyway, I know it shoots.

The riser and stirrup are greyish in that photo, a greyish that matches the mainframe , not black as mentioned. You may need glasses.

10-4 on the glasses good buddy!

According to my 'impaired' vision; The riser that came on my CAMO-MATRIX 355 is closer to "greyish" than the riser depicted in the photo mounting the black prod (above).

Call it whatever you want, but the color shown on the top photo does not appear to be the color shown on Excals advertisement on the 380 BLACKOUT (below). :?

Had my bow going on the third year until this thread never even considered studing the limbs. And yes thier not perfect!! The bow has never missed a beat. Better yet it hasn't missed any game that I have shot at!!! Sure the new bows cost good money, they all cost good hard earned money. If your a hunter than hunt the bow its not going to be as pristine as the day you bought it anyway!!! If your a collector go to the rack and pick out the one that looks good and enjoy your wall hanger!!! Hell it's snowing out right now. Wonder if the man above let me down with some imperfect snow flakes?

My 380 has blems in the limb's as does my exo 200 I spend more time looking through the scope than at the limb's.

Although it may seem impossible to believe, the squares marked 'A' and 'B' are actually exactly the same shade of grey

not saying that this is the case, but there could be some pretty big differences in photography.
