First SE PA Get-Together Shoot ... March 9th, 2013

Post by JT of PA »

SouthEast Pennsylvania Excalibur Forum Get-Together Shoot:

DAY: Saturday

DATE: March 9, 2013

TIME: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

LOCATION: http://www.weaversstoreinc.net/index.html

Weaver's Store, Inc.
1011 Dry Tavern Rd
Denver, PA 17517-8950

Denver: 717-445-6791
Toll Free: 800-856-4031

GUIDELINES:

1) There are three Weaver's Stores ... you want the Denver location.

2) No swearing, (Mennonite store and they are serious about this request).

3) Luncheonette/Snack bar in front if you want to grab a bite during the shoot.

4) Place is reserved and paid for ... just need fellow forum members to show up.

5) Walk in front door and make your way to the back, far right corner of store. There is a sporting goods counter. To the right of the counter are cream/tan swinging doors. Go through swinging doors and immediately to the right is a wooden stairway that leads up to the 3-D range. Come on up. :D

6) No equipment ... no problem. Weaver's said we can try out the Excalibur stock they have on hand the day of the shoot.

I hope this date works for most of us. I look forward to hopefully meeting some of the forum members and have fun shooting and sharing a common interest.

All the best.

This sounds like a great time. Rumor has it, Excalibur will be providing hats and t-shirts to those who show up to fling some arrows. That's a pretty tough deal to beat. Hang out with your buddies. Test the new crossbows, and get some free stuff. Kudos to Excalibur for supporting their shooters. Maybe this will become an annual event??

I received a Crossbow Magazine subscription for Valentine's Day and have since learned about the Crossbow Magazine forum.

I posted the above invitation on the Crossbow Magazine forum.

The above invitation may bring additional Excalibur owners and it may allow the opportunity to meet other crossbow enthusiasts.

No matter the brand or style of crossbow all are welcome to this first get-together shoot.

I also placed invitations in the following two areas of the Crossbow Nation website: General Crossbow Discussion and Excalibur Crossbows.

Hopefully, we'll get a good group of Excalibur and crossbow enthusiasts for March 9th.

Hey All:

I just wondered how hard it is to get your Excal and equipment across the border and back from Canada?
Anyone done it an did they run into any issues?
This would be driving across, not flying.
Thanks
Mike

I have a buddy who lives out past Somerset a bit. Maybe next time I'm out there we can meet up. Start a SW PA Get-Together Shoot. :D

Mike,

I have never crossed the border before with crossbow equipment. Sorry, I can't help with your question. Maybe if you start a new post more forum members will see the title and be able to help. Your question under this post will probably not get as many views as a separate, stand-alone post. I'm positive someone on the forum will have an answer for you.

Mike, if your coming to the Southeast Pennsylvania get-together shoot from Canada you will get some type of prize. :!: :!: :!:  :D

All the best,
John

We crossed last year - just said we were going to an archery event. They waved us right though. A friend and fellow forum member said he'd stopped and got a green sticker for his scope - took a bit longer, but that way he wouldn't have problems when crossing another time. Something about the scope is more "sticky" than the actual bow. Should be no issues crossing tho! Have fun!

New to the forum. Interested in purchasing my first crossbow. I'm a SE PA resident, so I'm very interested about this Weaver's shoot. Sounds like an excellent opportunity to check out Excalibur's products.
