I now know I am cheap

Post by kd8jgu »

Was looking at ways to increase bolt weight.
Looked at incerts at 3 Rivers
Wife chimed in with using 22cal pellets (a little to much weight)
Then tried BB's not enough weight
Mother in law yells for someone to carry out the old wire coat hanggers.
Bells go off
My bolts have went from 432grn to 664grn.
Flying well 1/2 in difference poi between the 2 weights

Resourceful...that's what I'd call it. :)

when talking with customers i used to use the word cheap at times.
maybe i would be talkin options on certain cabinets, flooring, trim ect..
now i have learned to use the words "cost effective"
same thing but people receive it better ...go figger
what im saying is ,,you came up with a very "cost effective" method to add weight   if it works shoot it

I would have said "carry them out yourself you old bag", well maybe to myself anyway while I was doing it. :)

I have a boar where I hunt that has to be close to 400lbs.
So when it hits I want to know he is not going to far.

So, exactly what did you do to weigh them down?

In a bind i have wrapped nymph lead around my add on weights then screwed them to my 110 brass insert to make up the broadhead difference. Worked so well i pulled the weights and sealed them with epoxy !!!!!!!!!
