What Targets are best for Crossbow practice?
Thank you for the great forum, I've learned a lot from the experience of the shooters who share on here. I bought a new Ibex last summer, and listened to a buddy who said,"Practice, Practice, Practice." My only problem has been finding a target to practice with. I bought two Walmart styrofoam targets and use them in tandem. This stops the arrows, target point or broadhead; but it is difficult to withdraw the arrows from them without fletching damage. The practice paid off, I was two for two on whitetail does. What a great experience archery season is! Now if you would allow me to pick your brains on suitable targets, I will be forever in your debt.
Thank You,

I'm in the market for a new target as well and I'm finding the Rinehart 18-1 seems to be a real good all round target. It's good for FPs and broad heads and folks say it stops the bolts before the get to the vains at 25 yards @ 300fps, it is also relatively easy to remove the bolts. I will be giving it a good once over next time I'm a an outdoor store.

For target or field points I use a Third Hand Rag Bag filled with clothing (minus buttons, zippers etc). For broadheads any of the Reinhart targets is my recommendation.
Some people just like stepping on rakes

For field points I use a homemade target I can refill as needed
I don't shoot broad heads that much as I have some that fly like field points

I use a Morrel yellow jacket for fieldpoints. Have shot it for a year now & no problem so far. Rhinehart for broadheads.

Just purchased a SpyderWeb Target ,and by far it is the best ive ever shot into period!!! Removing arrows can be done with 2 fingers effortlessly . Thanks Griz for that!!!! I did have to pay a 20.00 fee for freight[weight] but its worth it!!!!!!! stops arrows to 480fps my Exocet arrows only go in 3"

I have a Rinehart Rhino which I really like, and just today I picked up a third hand bag on Dons recommendation, though as you can see I need to hunt down some more cloths to fill it

being KIWI we dont waste money on target bags, we ring a local wet suit maker and get offcuts, pack it into a sack and you are away, it works really well and because its neoprene when you remove the arrow the holes close up so no need to worry about replacing the internals much at all, the sacks we stuff em into on the other hand get a proper beating

Re: What Targets are best for Crossbow practice?
Thank you all very much. I will probably get a Rinehart 18-1 for broadhead practice and I have reached out to a friend who makes wetsuits for scraps to place in a Third Hand bag for practice point use. The people on this site are really helpful! Thank you again.
