I would suspect that the Black Matrix in New Zealand would be as rare to be seen. But should strikes fear in all that across its path.
Considering that this spider is the New Zealand equivalent to the black widow spider here in North America but smaller and more compact as is the new Matrix such a name would be not only be appropiate but better to relate to in your neck of the woods.
