Life is to short to take everything serious. My buddy and friend, ten years younger than me, went in a week ago for a simple operation and a week later (last Thursday) died from internal bleeding from operation. I know I am still in disbelief as I drive by and expect to see him working on his truck. :( :( :(

More a friend but was also my company plummer.
Kevin, so sorry to hear about your friend an co-worker. And younger than you to yet. Only time can heal such pain and for you I hope its kind.

Dang...
I thought that today was the tomorrow that I worried about yesterday.

I wake up surprised ever morning and say to myself "made it again".

I just did my Federal income taxes though. Might not make it through tonight.

When they finally put me under I want to hear someone say "Yep, he was rode hard and put up wet".

Till then I am going to agree with Boo on the "treat others as you would like them to treat you." I made that my motto for 34 years of dealing with the public everyday. It works. :D

This is from a song but I love the words and absolutely get the message.

Life is short and we don't know what lies beyond the next hill. A friend I haven't seen in a while walked up and said, "Hi how you doing?" I replied, "Well I thought I was doing pretty well, why, have you heard something to the contrary?"

This is one of my important sayings, "When you got your feet on the right side of the sod you know it is going to be a good day".

Another saying I have when I feel sick and in pain, I look at the other side and say to myself, "There is always someone else worse off than me", and that helps pull me through till the pain and the sickness subside.

Sorry about your friend Wheelie, my sincere condolences and a prayer for all.

Jeeze.. Take a break from the forum for a couple weeks and come back to my very own thread! Thanks Lou! Missed the pictures though.

Wheelie, sorry to hear about your buddy. I have 2 very close friends in the hospital right now, undergoing the same operation on their cancer, one up the road, the other in Regina. Been kinda focusing on them for a while. Been a very humbeling couple of weeks.
