Thank you, Taz.
What is Excalibur charging for the replacement parts?

Hmmmm - just talked with Dawn and the cost would be $15.50 + for the four screws and two washers....... I think that I will leave this "massive weight" on the bow for now - do some more push ups and put the money on gas for the truck to go shoot some pigs. I know call me "Mr. Squeak"..... Anyone have any extras????????

I picked them up used from a member here with a few other goodies, so I'm not sure.

Question, does removing the D-pads and bar increase the bow's vibration? If so by much?

I have the adjustable STS sound suppression system (an adjustable version of the S5) on my bow. Thinking of removing the D-pads and bar to lighten the front end.

Ellis,
I noticed no increase in front end vibration when I removed the DB bars from our 3 Excaliburs. I don't have the STS but the NGSS Custom Stopper.

One last question, did any of you that removed your D-pads have to re-sight your bows afterwards?

I would check it since your are removing the bolts that hold the limbs on. POI did not move on mine.

You would be silly not to at least check. :)

x2.
and does this mod void warranty? i figured if you removed s5s and d pads that your limb warranty would be void.

I don't see why warranty would be voided as some Excaliburs do not have D-pads or a S5 like system.

I just read though the thread and nobody here said anything about removing a S5 system......just the D-pads.

Can these pads be removed from the longer 16.5" rail found on my Equinox?

Just curious if this system is redundant then why would Excalibur sell it with the S5 system on my Equinox?

Got this right off the website under accessories.

Dissipator Bar Kit

Dissipator Bar
Our Dissipator Bar uses an ultra modern energy absorbing compound to tame recoil energy and noise on any Excalibur crossbow except Matrix Series crossbows. This lightweight accessory reduces noise by as much as eight decibels but does not reduce arrow velocity in any way! A Dissipator Bar kit comes with bars, pads, and mounting accessories.

MSRP: $69.99* US/CAN

If you do not like it get the bolt/washer kit and take it off. You might not notice an increase in noise from the bow.
