epic bush walk pics

Post by ngamokai »

Ok so thought id share my last 2 days, went off Island and spent a few days at my mates Piha beach house, we decided to venture out into the bush for a walk, 6 hours later after following a small river we emerged on a beach for a mild 1 1/2 hour walk on soft sand back to civilization, just thought Id share some of the views.
The walk was matrix free as I was banned from hunting anything on this trip 8) and we started the walk high in the mountains and followed the river down to the coast, this meant a heap of hairy rock climbing and lots of waterfalls, my lady is amazing, there were so many parts of the trip that could have killed you if you made a wrong step but she handled it better than I did.  Image

Hank
Hi Hank, no mate it was honestly a perfect day, absolutely stunning weather, not too hot, about maybe 21C or so, and when we arrived at the beach the shoes came off and the sand was cool on our feet, sometimes it can be painfully hot walking on sun drenched sand but this was awesome. I would say we could not have had better weather for the trip. glad you liked the pics 8)

Yes Indeed! The topography does very much look like Home! Vegetation is a little different, but appears to be just as thick...

Pretty back yard you have there ngamokai! Hope to get my sorry butt down there one day, and it appears I'll feel right at home when I do!
