First Excalibur Kill - Double Bearded Gobbler!

Post by Chefrific »

Got my first kill with my Vortex, opening morning of turkey season here in Georgia.
A decent gobbler and my first with 2 beards. Main beard was 9.5" and second beard was 5.75"
Shot him at 20 yards and he ran only 15-20 yards before dropping.

Not the new Rage "crossbow x", but the older Rage crossbow head, 125 grains.
I can't find the new "x" head anywhere.

Thanks, I was using a mouth call. XT calls' "Havoc" thin tape.
Fantastic sounding call, and very easy to run.

Nice bird. Congrats.
I got rained out here in NW Ga. opening morning. Weather has been terrible. Went this morning in 20-25 MPH winds with snow spitting down. No birds wanted to play.
