Looks great!

I recognize the riser & stirup!

Glad they went to a good home...

i looked all threw my shop trying to find nylon washers to accent the concave washers to hold the riser on. i was having no luck ,them i spotted a square black milk create .i used an 1 1/2 hole saw and cut 2 washers .placed a bolt threw the pilot hole then placed the 2 together in the lathe and turned them down to 1" in the lathe to get what i needed .that lathe is the best tool ive bought in 20 years

Great what you can do when you have the knowlege and equipment, great job on personalizing the kids bow Munch.
I'd love to get hold of a lathe one day, bloody handy tool. I can think of numerous occasions it would have pulled me out of the crap .

when i painted the riser i was not paying attention and used gloss black when i sprayed it. it dried so hard that i could not get the paint off with my sandblaster .i had to use my die grinder to remove most of it then finished with sand .this bow will not fire a lot of arrows but it will be interesting to see if it holds up on top of the rail

Looking good Terry. I can't wait to see it all finished. The grandson will love it for years to come. It will be a family heirloom. Man I wish my grandfather would have done something like that for me. Congrats Terry, awesome job man.
