Aluminum arrows

Do Aluminum arrows loose there spine after shooting them allot.(life span)? I think I want to try Al arrows but I am new to crossbows. I just got a new to me Vortex.It came with three fire-bolts.Thanks for any comments about arrows!

Yes they do over a period of shots. I shoot them alot, i take 4 from a dz. fer practice. I usually get 1200-1500 shots from them wid decent accuracy

Alums are cheaper but once bent, which can happen easily, are basically useless for accuracy sake. But they then make great tomato stakes :D

Bags targets or the 3-D type are best on them

I have used aluminum arrows for 6 years, I loose them before the 1200 mark.
:D
The nice thing is they don't splinter, just bend. Have not had problems bending while target shooting just pull the arrow from close to the target not from the end of the arrow.

i've been using all. for about 30yrs every now and then i bend an arrow but it is on deer usually but then again i've used the same arrow on several deer, as far as overshooten them i tend to lose em long before that is relevant; are carbons faster, yes in most cases, do they shoot good, yes very well. i shoot both but when it's hunting time iuse a heavy alluminum arrow(pyledriver)
better an overkill than an underkill
