TriggerTech trigger on the way !!!

Post by Lucky-Dog »

Ive been having a small issue with the Excal trigger but as always great customer service and they are getting it fixed for me. But also just thought I would let you know that Ive ordered the new drop in trigger from TriggerTech and going to compare the two. I will try and find time to give a quick review after I get it and shoot it. Nothing really bad with Excals triggers but thought I would try this one as well. It will be nice to have the factory trigger as a backup just incase I guess. Gotta try it ya know

Nice! I'm hoping to put one in my Vortex before deer season this fall. :)

Congratulations ... look forward to reading what you think of it.

Okay to ask which version you ordered: Hunting or Target?

My TT should arrive tomorrow and I will give my impressions soon whether or not they hit a home run right out of the box.

I ordered the 2.5 as well. Im really looking forward to it like a school kid
I thought this was pretty cool as well....

Here is a testimonial from Brad Whiting at Crossbow Magazine, who reviewed the hunting model:

I couldn’t be more impressed with the Excalibur trigger you sent me for evaluation. With the understanding that this is a typical production unit, I believe you folks have hit a home-run! The take-up is smooth and fluid. The trigger breaks like a Candy Kane. Who could ask for more? What was most impressive beyond the obvious, is the trigger’s ability to return to the initial start position, if the shooter aborts the shot. I think this is a sound safety feature and one any shooter will glean a higher level of confidence with. Well done gentlemen!

Best regards and good shooting,

Brad

What I find interesting about the small travel prior to trigger release is that it sounds like free play travel rather than trigger creep and I like the sound of that. I have never shot a Savage AccuTrigger but it sounds like it will be similar and something to hopefully depend on time and time again.

The small amount of travel in the trigger before you get to the "wall" and the crisp break is basically a two stage trigger. The military used them for years and Anschutz rifles is considered by most to be one of the best triggers around and they are two stage
