Reviews on Twilight DXL Scope?

Post by 6x6elk »

Hey everyone, any comments good or bad on the twilight scope? I have the Tac-zone, and I am not a fan of the optics. Lots of peripheral distortion, and your eye must be perfectly centered or you cant see your target. Thanks for any help.

You won't get major distortion around the edges until you crank the speed ring to the max. Keep your eyes on the target and bring the scope up between your eyes and the target and it works fine.

The Twilight scope is a nice crossbow scope but its huge. Probable be better off looking at a Hawke scope I like the xb30 by Hawke but they have a few other models that are more compact. I just think the Twilight scope will be to big for the Matrix.

Is the twilight that much bigger than the vari-zone?I had the vari-zone in the past and it did not seem overly large. Is there a big differance in dim light between the varizone and the twilight?

I have owned two Vari's and one DXL, if fact, I have owned all of Excaliburs scopes. The DXL is clearer, offers a larger field of view and has better twilight performance than the Vari. It is the best scope in Excaliburs linup and worth the money IMO.

I've owned both too and Norm pretty much sums it up. I'll take a Twilight over a Vari hands down.

I use a Leupold VX-I 2-7x33mm on my Equinox. They are crystal clear beyond comparison. I suggest Leupold VX-1 2-7x33mm. They only weigh 9.9 ounces which is lighter than most competitors and carry full lifetime warranty along with stellar customer service. Plus they are made in the U.S.A.

Leupold golden ring scope offer superior light gathering characteristic during the last few critical minutes of legal shooting time.

Had the varizone and really liked it

Last year I upgraded to the twilight and love it

It is big and heavier but being a he-man I
hardly notice it.
