Re: locktite
Blue is good. Do not use Red unless you have no plans to loosen screws.
Re: locktite
Blue works but a little bit goes a long way, esp in the scope base screw. You can even take the screws, out apply the LT, let it dry then reinsert. But if you're worried about removal use the purple. If ever the screws don't want to give, you can remove them with heat. Tap a tight fitting screwdriver bit into the screw and heat the bit with a small torch. Heat transfers to screw and melts the LT>

Thanks guys ill try the blue and let it dry.Just wanted to make sure in case I get a triggertech later.
Re: locktite
It is best to degrease all threads and screws first. During the thread tapping and screw making process manufacturing oils are left behind which contribute to screws coming loose when vibration occurs.

Re: locktite
I've posted this before but think most dont believe it. Clean and degrease as "Enormous" stated and then use 100% clear silicone caulk on the male threads of the screw. It drys like ruber and screws WILL NOT back out, but you just take the wrench and remove them if you want them out.I have mounted scopes on BIG pistols like this and had 100% results. Life is too short to make things hard on yourself. If you dont believe it, try it in the off season and shoot the hooey out of your bow and see.

Re: locktite
About 20 years ago I bought one of the first Mathews Bows and had a terrible time with vibration to the point that my stabilizer kept on loosening. Well I'll fix that with some red lok-tite. Shot the next day and heard a thud hit the ground after 10 or so shots...Yep, the stabilizer stud snapped off flush with the bow!!! After failing at several efforts to remove the stud I took it to a machine shop...had it drilled out and a heliocoil put in....Lesson learned the hard way with red lok-tite.
