That is a shame! Excalibur should warranty that string. It looks like you have serving seperation were the rope cocking aid hooks on. Call them they should take care of you.

I wouldn't look to the matrix to place fault. Looks to me that where the latches catch the string she looks pretty good.

Xcaliber said it could be me over-cocking the bow.I'll slow it down when cocking and see if that makes a difference.

I was doing the same thing, due to my cranker making to much noise I could not hear it click when it engaged so I would cock it too far and it would mess up my string also.

I have been really happy with the string wear on my 380. On the factory string I had several hundred shots and it still looked good when I replaced with a custom Flemish. I really expected the wear to be worse.

I would guess the rope cocking aid. Look at the inside of the hooks to see if they are rough. Chain saw file or emery cloth , FINE grit would smooth the hooks. :D

With my little amount of experience I probably should not even comment lol but unless I am looking at it wrong, your string is twisted clockwise ??? If it is, won't that loosen the serving since servings are usually applied CCW ??? Am pretty sure Don explained that to me once, though I been wrong before lol

Also not cocking it evenly, look at the space from the rail on each side.
