Do you need the ballistics coefficient of the arrow for it to work?

5 yds - + 1.1
10 yds - + 3.14
15 yds - + 4.08
20 yds - + 3.89
25 yds - + 2.55
30 yds - 0.0
35 yds (- 3.77)
40 yds (- 8.84)

Hope this helps you out. You really need to shoot your broad heads to see what you actually get.

Given this data, my suggestion would be to zero at 25yds with your single reticle scope and take dead aim out to 30 yds. After that I'd just hold for "top of the back" or maybe 2" down from there.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

The program should set it for you,but if it does not I have used .055 or .043 . I think .055 is the most commonly used number.

On my Phoenix I use a Leupold shotgun scope (2-7x). I sight in for 25 yards and use the crosshairs for a "center of the kill zone" hold on any deer from 0-30 yards. For a deer past 30 the drop is too much.
I can set the scope on 2.5x and use the duplex posts (as in Boo's pic) for 15 & 35 yards, too.

So I went out after the wind died down. And resighted in for the new string because I was high at 20 yards. Got that done then I noticed All my arrows had nicks on the nocks must of been from close but not quit robinhoods. They where pretty big nicks not sure how I missed them before New arrows needed because I do not want to ruin my new Boo string. So I pulled out some gt' s with blazers that did not group in the past. Always had a loose group at the best. They were lower point of aim but what a tight group. Would a string cause such a dramatic change? :?:

Boo makes a very good string and I saw my chronograph numbers tighten up a lot with one, so it makes sense to me that your group would get tighter. Your arrows are coming out more consistent. I do not shoot two arrows at the same point anymore.

This is exactly how I setup my Leupold VX-I 2-7x33mm shotgun/muzzleloader NWTF edition scope set on 4x mounted on my Equinox. 0 - 30 yards quick, easy and deadly.

During practise sessions I did use the bottom of the turkey plex circle at 40 yards. Pretty cool, but 30 yards is my max anyways.

I do about the same thing with my 1x4 nikon shotgun scope . I site in 25yd an use the top of the bottom post for 35yd an can use the top of the bottom post for any range out to 50yd by turning the power ring down .
