Post by 8ptbuk »

I would like to thank everyone for the Info on how they built their string jigs . I copied Boo's mostly and heres what I come up with . Think I'll try and mount a small light in the top to help me see a little better . Thanks again for everyones ideas.[URL=http://s154.photobucket.com/user/1longb ... 6.jpg.html]Image

Good thinking on the lower 2X4! It's the most simple, cheapest, strongest design around.

Nice little string jig you made up. Should do the trick quite nicely. :)

Nicely done and great looking string.

Did you make the string yourself?

I've only been able to re-serve so far. Not able to make a string yet.

The threads will take a beating if you use the jig a lot. Use MoS2 grease on it. Get into contact with Mr Moly to find out where to buy this http://www.mrmoly.com/html/as_40_pre-as ... paste.html
A little goes a long way. It can be used in place of Coppaslip or Antiseize and is a far better choice.
