I was probably the first one to have a Matrix 355 customized to a 320 last year. Shooting 17 in arrows with diablos I get 316 fps. I put a Guardian on it. IMHO it is the perfect bow. Sweet, accurate, quiet, powerful, easy to cock.. Just like the perfect woman.

Wonder if the Excalibur folks are considering making the 320 a factory offering? Sure sounds like a great option for those of us who want something easy to cock that still has good arrow speed.

I feel like I have the perfect Excal also now. I'm going to work on some arrow combinations to see what I like best, the Black Eagles will get shortend up a bit a couple at a time.

You know exactly how sweet the Excal is since you've had one for awhile now. Its going to be hard to top this one for me.

Sounds like a great bow, if I had a few more pennies sitting around I would have jumped on the one mainstreet was selling on AT. I will be shocked if Excalibur doesn't bring one out next year.

Thanks for the photos. That arrow retainer is sure close to the string. (Makes me appreciate how short the rail is.)

Beautiful crossbow ... well done.

is the retainer so close due to ADF unit? neither of the bows i have have the unit on them. just curious.
i find the G5 100 grn strikers the G5 T3 and the swackers all fly the same to 40 yards. my slick mags and QAD Exodus hit low at 40 on BEAzomies or executioners at 380 grn total weight. Oh and the Grimm Reaper as well fly same as field points. They probably flew the best exactly where field points hit. all were centered but slicks and exodus were couple inches lower. going to be easy to use any just what to use.....

I shortened my matrix retainer my moving the forward hole to the back and drilling a new front hole and cutting about 1" off the back end. { it is hard to drill )

The answer is yes and no!
The ADFs do extend the retainers out cause the mounting holes had to be moved forward to allow the ADF claw placement. Thus the retainer will always be a little longer with an ADF.
Hester's is two inches closer to the riser though cause he had two inches cut off the rail.

See Yes and No.

yes i know his rail is shorter. Im shooting a 355 cut to the same length without the ADF as per my post and is not as close to the string thus the question. But thanks for answering it for me.
