nocks

Post by jody5252 »

curious about omni nocks. I use 2219 Easton mags will these work just as good as the Easton flat nocks? would Omni nocks be better? any problems with them when used on excel bows? what diameter would I need. I know that 10 point xbow makes them. I assume the Easton arrows they use are of the same inside diam. anyone recommend these nocks? thanks...

Its a Ten Pt marketin ploy to sell on their arrows. Lets face it BillT designed the Excals to use a easy flat nock its simple & it works very well. The omni nock will not be better & maynot be as good!

right you are. flats work great. I use the plastic nocks, (Easton) I am mainly interested in the Omni because they are the only other bright orange nocks that I could find that fit 2219's

When you push an Omni nock back onto a string you can feel it index on my SZ350 but I don't know about a 2219 on an Excalibur.
If you are just looking for a bright nock look at the Bohning flat nocks http://www.bohning.com/flat-end-press-fit-crossbow-nock or the Firenock practice nocks.

Edit to add:I don't know if any of the above have a size that will accommodate your 2219s.

Flat plastic is not worth a damn if the string goes over or under it. I would stick with aluminum.

I purposely switched to plastic and won't look back ! If it ( string ) slide's over/under plastic, it will slide over aluminum. If that happen's then I got more issue's with my bow than I thought?
