went out to my bear stand tonight, about 45 minutes left, it started to thunder out, and rain out. it's been so wet lately, i have been soaked twice and didn't want to be again, so i lowered my vortex down and started to climb down. then i heard him woofing at me less than 30 yards!!!! i climbed back up and pulled my bow back up and waited. about 10 minutes went by and he was woofing even closer this time!!! had the bow ready for him!!!! then he was on my left woofing at me. then i heard him way behind me. if i would have stayed put for an other 15-20 minutes, i would of had him, darn it!!!!!

Haha.. I've had that happen too many times. Seems like every time I go to get out of my stand the deer come rolling in. I'm gonna have to start sleeping in the damn thing so I don't have to ever get out.
