Wish List For Excals

Is there any small thing you would change or alter if you were redesigning your excal crossbow ? Im sure we all love our excals but heres a few things I wish mine had on it , (1) I wish all the harware ( Bolts,Swivels,Etc..) was stainless steel or at least treated with some weather proofing finish , takes me at least 20 minutes to oil everything down when I get caught in the rain hunting , If I dont mine trys to rust pretty bad . (2) I wish my v-zone had a way to lock the fps ring on the scope once it's set . (3) Easier access to the hold down tab, so it could be changed or adj with out taking off your scope . Anbody else got any Ideas ???

I have been changin out some the bolts/screws on my favorite Vixen to stainless

Remember guys most S.S bolts are not as strong as grade 5 or grade 8 bolts . There are some Mil. spec S.S and corrosion resistant bolts out there .

When Danny Miller changes any bolts out they become stainless. He's been doing that for some time.

My wish list.... The Excal bows are a bit cumbersome to carry in the woods. My AR has a handle, an FN/Fal has a handle, heck a suitcase has a handle. No reason an Excal crossbow can't have one on the side of the rail or stock , at the balance point to make them much easier to tote. A future project.

I do like the idea of a lock on the scope so the speed ring or the eye adjustment doesn't move on you.

My wish list has a solid scope mount built in like a kowdabow an a no creep trigger like a kowdabow an no stock except at the rear like a kowdabow. Heck I think a kowdabow is on my wish list

I am happy with them the way they are ....when you start to add to them you take away the simplicity from them and more problems arise then more complaints from unhappy customers.

How about a tag that says "1/2 Off" ?

Seriously, I wish they had sort of a custom shop option... go online and build your bow a la carte then order direct from Excal, and add only the accessories you want. You could have your choice of:
-draw weight and length
-stock type (thumbhole or traditional)
-camo finish
-scopes
-strings
-quivers
-arrows


It could be done but I sure bet it wouldnt be cheap!
